Feelings after watched TED

Benjamin Zander on music and passion
http://www.ted.com/talks/benjamin_zander_on_music_and_passion.html
I was really appreciate I have this oppertunity to watch this vedio during class period. I am the person who belongs to the largest group which Ben metioned, do not know anything about classical music and do not really recognize which is classical music. Which is a shame, I believe. However, Ben's performance makes me think about something that I never thought about in my life. It seems that the time rushes everyday from sunrise to sunset. I was so busy doing things over and over again and do not really stop to think about what I am doing and how I feel about doing these things. When I listened Ben's performance, the music push me over and I had a quiet time in my heart to think about myself. I followed the line and heard what Ben wants to say. I moved a lot. The defination of success is really not about wealthy, fame and power, it's to be what you want to be and enjoy your life. I think I will get to know classical music more, as Ben said: classical music belongs to everyone.

Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity
http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html
This video is really educational. I think there are many sentenses that Ken stated are really classic. Such as, Creativity is something that have a original idea that have value. children are born of artists, and we made artist as we gropw up. we are not into creativity, we are out of it. That's really true. I think the educational system are killing people's creativity and someother pertancials. We should focus on the indivitual education instead of general educations. Everyone has their own specialties and it is okay to make mistakes.

Shereen El Feki: Pop culture in the Arab world
http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/shereen_el_feki_pop_culture_in_the_arab_world.html
This video talked about the pop culture in Arab and U.S. differences from music, video, and magzine aspects. However, I think this video is not much about pop culture as it appeared on the title. It's more about Culture and religious things between U.S. and Arab. I don't really much know about Arab, and I just been to U.S. as an international student not for a long time. From my point of view, these two countries no matter what are totally different. The people in each country seems live in different world. And I think people always confuse about Arab and Islam things. I think the world is getting closer and closer, different culture, language mixed up, just like what the speaker said it's a mesh of civilization. And no matter what,We should respect other cultures and learn from it.

Richard St. John's 8 secrets of success
http://www.ted.com/talks/richard_st_john_s_8_secrets_of_success.html
I like this talk. Even it's really short, but it is valuable. It basically talks about 8 secrets of success. I respect the speaker only use simple sentences to indicate a really great theory. I love his words: Do it for love, not money. It's all hardwork, nothing comes easily, but I have a lot of fun.

Dan Gilbert asks, Why are we happy?

http://www.ted.com/talks/dan_gilbert_asks_why_are_we_happy.html
What Dan Gilbert is talking about is the variance in happiness between almost equal experiences, not variances between events of actual importance. I agree that it doesn’t really matter what you choose when you want to rent a video or save that money, you can be just as happy with or without a movie a Saturday night. I think what he said is really knowledgable. If you think that money doesn’t make you happy, try living on the street begging for food while starving. Money doesn’t make you happy if you already have enough. Just like what i am experiencing now. I always feel that money is nothing, however, some of my friends always said to me that it is because I have more than enough. In fact, nothing makes you significantly happier if your needs are already met. That is why we don't really feel about happiness becuase we already have a lot. So we should really treasure the things and the life we have, because there still have a lot of people don't have but we haven't feel that we are in a happy condiiton.
